Well, since Conner broadcasts as well then that settles that. I wonder if Ryle was told pregame that they were not going to be allowed to broadcast? Wouldn't this be addressed before the beginning of the game?
-
Where was the game played at? If it was at Ryle they have broadcasted their games there all year. They should be able to broadcast whatever it is they want, it's their home stadium. Why is it only a problem with one school, and how can they tell them to stop broadcasting? I would have just kept on filming. If the game was at Conner I can see this being a different story. So where was the game at?

Wow terrible news. It's a shame to lose a kid to an unknown heart problem. It seems like you are hearing more and more about these conditions.
-
Knowing Bob personally I know he wouldn't want the attention over any of the kids who have played in this game so that being said let's get this thread back on topic. How many JV games has Beechwood won? I know they are always a very talented team and I ear their Freshman tea. Is loaded. Looks like the talent is still coming in. Easy to do though when you have a school that excels in the classroom as well as the field.

I am pretty sure that Cooper's J.V. Team lost to Ryle by a lot week 1, and there was a thread posted saying Cooper had beat Conner this past Saturday. I think Ryle by a few scores pending they have not moved anybody up to the Varsity Squad. Good Luck to both teams.

I don't see Simon Kenton on there... Highlands must be ducking out on playing them...
-
I'd be upset if my team was god awful too.
-
Wow did not expect this. I thought Boone would run it down their throats. Nice win for Ryle.

Very good game with two very good football teams. I'd say if these two teams played 10 times, they would split evenly.
Am I the only one who saw the adjustments though? Looked to me like Cooper went to a man defense and went more to a spread offense.. Tough to come back from down 21. Both of these teams have a lot of fight in them and I would not at all be surprised to see them meet again in the playoffs!

Beechwood 21-20

So much for being a big rivalry!
Are all 6,000+ of your posts stirring the pot?

Well after reading this, this is the game I'll be attending on Friday. Is it going to cost extra to sit right behind Hellbird and RE?!
-
Simon Kenton will have a tough time winning the District let alone getting all the way to the State Championship. Let's be honest. There's a whole lot of football to be played before December.
-
Wow. I don't even know what to say.

Getting juiced at home by a #4 seed is laying an egg. Spin it how you will. Sounds like you were satisfied with moral victories last year. Baby steps, right?
Can't wait to see this 85' Bears defense. I must ask. Has Cooper faced a good offense all year? Ryle? HC? Boone? Holmes? Scott? CC? What do all these teams have in common? They are all lacking one thing? What is it??
From going back and reading your posts I take it you don't take kindly to Cooper and their folk?

Anyone know how the tie breakers go for District?
If Conner wins, but cooper follows up their next game with a win against South Oldham and all three teams beat both Grant Co. and Scott, what is the first tie breaker after head to head?
Don't quote me on this but I think the tie breaker would be wins on the season by teams you beat from out of district.

There are standings for JV teams?
-
This can end up being an interesting game. Campbell is off a bye week and SK continues to win. I'll take Campbell in the upset 28-21. Good luck to both Durham and Kuntz.
-
But they play in District 5. Which includes 3 NKY teams. They are deserving of some votes if you ask me. They beat a Conner team which everyone thought would win the State Championship. They might have been a write in vote but it looks as if they received 6 votes.

Lloyd seems to be rolling on all cylinders.

Lloyd wins 27-6

I'm going to say Boone wins here.. 21-14

You make an excellent point. Borchers looks as if he has improved a lot in the motivation alone and how he handles the kids. He still gets on them etc. but the boys are starting to believe in him. It's still an uphill battle for him though and hopefully it will continue to improve. For instance, he has shown a lot more interest in the JV games this year than in the past, at least it looks that way. In the past it felt as if he thought JV more of a bother than something that the players could learn from. It's showed the last 2 years for instance when the players from the freshman teams decide not to play varsity the next year. I think that was a telling tale of what they thought about the entire football program. For instance last years Freshman team only had 9 players come out to play varsity this year.
I think the interest that the boys see from the coach throught the entire football program speaks volumes and I think the turnout from this years freshman football team will be a lot more when practice starts for next year's varsity team.
Seeing as though I am new to the site would you say kids being interested in the program has to do with the Coach caring about all aspects of the program or kids these days just don't want to spend a season knowing they won't play. Be easy on me, I'm new here.

Don't forget SK had Beechwood at home, CCH played at Beechwood. I said earlier this year CCH would beat SK by 30. I still believe it.
While I don't doubt at all CCH would beat SK... Playing Beechwood @ Beechwood is almost like a home game. They are about 3 minutes down the road.
