I think La Salle is now in Division 2 . They no longer have to beat those teams to win a state title. Their biggest challenge will be from Winton Woods and Anderson. A very manageable task for La Salle.

And I'm not saying that to be a jerk or anything it's just I know that I played and we would always say stuff like this on the sidelines. Would anyone actually do it? No. It was all in good fun. Does that make me a bad person because we spoke like this? Nope. I actually like to think of myself as an upstanding citizen. I've never been arrested, or even questioned by police for that matter. This doesn't show any type of character flaw. It's a guy who knows he is one play away from being a Super Bowl champion and he is having some fun with his teammates on the sideline.

This same guy also had no idea he won a car for getting MVP of the game.. So take it for what it's worth.

I am not a big follower of MSJ either. However, I just looked them up. In the last six years they have an overall winning record and have had only one losing season, going 4-6 this past season. Maybe things are going in the wrong direction, but I would hardly say they have been "miserable" recently.

Ever since Hilvert left to take TM job MSJ has slowly declined.

Miserable in football recently?? Really?? Over the last ten years they are 72 and 34, including 4 HCAC league championships and 5 trips to the NCAA playoffs. Just last season they had a player from Louisville lead the Nation (All Divisions) in rushing. So could you elaborate on miserable?

What have the been of recent though? When was the last time they won the bridge bowl against Thomas More? TM beat them 72-6 this past season. Gotta beat your rivals before you can consider yourself good.

Congrats to Coach Stoll and his team. I know some people doubted him because of how young he is and how he had to follow in the footsteps of a great coach and it seems he has kept NewCath in their winning ways. Keep it up!

Why talk to Chad? They both teach PE. Chad will not be getting a job at Bellevue as long as Poynter is there.

According to the open jobs description on khsaa.org it looks like they foresee a possible PE/Health opening.

Never said South Oldham was. As you can see from the list, there is not a single player from WV or SO on there.. Therefore they must not be considered NKY teams.

This is the NKY all-star team. I don't believe Walton Verona is considered NKY.

Is this for kids coming out of high school this year? Or does it include underclass too? If so, surprised Barker isn't on there.

I've said all year that the gap between #1 and the rest of the bunch is bigger in 5A than any other class. I'll stand by that now as well. BG by 3 scores.

I'll disagree with you here. No way the gap is bigger than what is in 6A and 4A.

Dreamer's: Just trying to figure out if you guys will use the rain as another excuse if Conner loses.

This seems flawed, no matter how the system, someone loses out. I would just use it as motivation and keep on pressing forward. However we all know that in 6A, the road goes through one national powerhouse and you have to beat them to get yourself a ring.

If not for this and if it wasn't for that. Hebron is full of, what if and should coulda wouldas. You have an excuse for everything. Cooper fans could very easily say if it wasn't played at Conner, or if we were at full health, but you see none of that. There is always a reason for Conner's woes. To compare apples to apples look what happens when you take Fogle out of the line up for Conner they COULD have lost to Scott. See everyone can do it. Conner did beat Cooper on one night, but as for common opponents Cooper has the better resume. At the end of the day you can debate this all you want but by Friday night everyone will be placed and seeded and Conner fans will still be saying what if, and we should of.

There are a lot of deserving Coaches for this award. Brossart, Montgomery, Wooley is even in the mix, but at the end of the day none of these Coaches has taken a school from nothing to back to back district champs and has a 8-1 record. For that Coach Borchers should get the nod. He has done wonders out at Cooper, and hopefully their ride can continue throughout the playoffs. Good luck to all coaches come playoff time, and let the most deserving of this award be granted it.

How come Conner Fans can never accept the fact that sometimes their team loses?? It's always "If the raindrop didn't hit this player during the second storm delay Conner wins by 50." Or "If Conner turns the lights on in the locker room and then back off then on again they have no problem beating Dixie." You lost and that's all that matters. To the game. Should be to good offenses against A (as in 1) good defense. Problem here Conner gives up points and a lot of them. If Covington Catholic can get it rolling early then it could be a long night. If Conner can keep it close then they have a little more to play for. (A home playoff game). Any word on Fogle? Is he playing?

If you kick it out of bounds they can just keep accepting the penalty and forcing you to re-kick. I would love to see this Timmons kid play in person, sounds like an absolute stud on the football field.

I would say no. I sat next to his parents a couple weeks ago, and I would assume that it was his biological dad, and I'm not making that assumption on skin color. The guy was just as nervous and antsy in his seat like any other dad watching their son play. They seem like good people too.

Yes I was wrong. Best of luck to Drew though! Sounds like he is a great kid and the type of QB that should be playing at a school like Dixie. Drew is a Ludlow boy though isn't he? If he is, imagine how good Ludlow would have been had the Caples, Moore, Pouncey, as well as the QB they have there now all been there together. Best of luck to all these young men though!

I wonder if anyone has taken the time to think "Hey, maybe Conner told the broadcast crew they didn't have permission, and they went ahead and did it anyway." Nooooo. Nobody would take the time to think that, it's Conner who is in the wrong, it's a little ridiculious that this thread has 4 pages worth of posts in it, pretty much all saying how Conner should have done this, Conner should have done that.. blah blah blah..

 

And those who keep bringing things up from the past (1-the tunnel thing, which was and will always be a punk move by the schools who did it. They know it, Conner coaches, fans and players know it. 2-The coach from an opponent's school sitting in his car at practice), that have been beaten into the ground over and over again, should probably either 1.) get a new hobby or two 2.) find some other way to satisfy their childish needs, like maybe go push someone down on the playground.. What are we, in third grade? I think that is the functioning level of many posters on here. It's comical.

Well here is one that needs a tissue.

Conner Fans seem to get uptight about everything. From Cheerleaders setting up a tunnel, to not telling Ryle they can broadcast live. If you didn't want them to broadcast make a phone call and tell them. It is no secret that they have been filming for a few years, if you didn't want them to film man up and tell them. Don't do it after they already had it rolling. That is Busch League. Originally, I thought Ryle was told that they could not broadcast it but, it seems that message was never passed along. I'm going to go ahead and guess that the reason Conner didn't beat Ryle by 1,000 is because they were being broadcasted live on ihigh, and were distracted. Right??? Can someone lend a tissue to everyone who has cried over the issues Conner has had to deal with this year?
