Walton is a good 1A team, but this one won't be as close as you all are making it out to be.

I have read many posts in here over the last couple of years, Bashing the Teams that have taken it to the next level. Two that seem to top the list are consitantly Beechwood and Highlands. Do they deserve all the sideways comments, do these folks think that the Josh Conners and Adam Dempsys drop from the sky? Or that Nieko Tiepel and Dominic Mainello just walked on the field and had that talent/ HECK NO! The programs that they are associated with have given them the knowledge and training and they have supplied th blood, sweat and grit to be the best of ths best.
I put the blame on the teams that settle for mediocracy year in and year out, they could be on top if they chose to. Put the Ludlow players in the Beechwood systym and the Tigers success would surface, put Dixie under Highlands supervision you would see State rings. They just dont settle for second best!
I call for the rest to step up!!
I agree with you 100%. Schools that settle for 3-7 or 4-6 records every year shouldn't be proud of that. Beechwood and Highlands have nothing to be talked about besides the success they have. The kids give effort, they have great support from fans, parents, administration and so on... I know people have used the "R" word in regards to Beechwood and Highlands but what would either of these teams have to gain from recruiting kids. Also take a look at these schools academics. Not only do they have athletes, but their athletes take pride in academics.

His name is Tony Bishop
Yea that's it. He made some really impressive catches against Conner.
-
Campbell is more than likely the most solid defensive team that Cooper has seen this year. They also have a pretty good WR in #25 (sorry his name escapes me).
-
Let's just bring good ole Bill Back.
-
Just curious but does anyone know what is the most points given up by a program over the course of an entire season? Cooper could be closing in on that mark..
They're a first year program. It's tough enough for these kids let's not do or say anything that would bring the kids down.

I don't see Boone really running up the score. They get nothing out of it.

Best of luck to both teams tomorrow night. I'll say Ludlow wins, but by a slim margin.
Ludlow 20
Dayton 14
Best of luck to both teams and coaching staffs.

In talks about Ludlow's best runningback, I'd have to say its Ronnie Banks. I know everytime I've ever watched a practice or been to a game, Banks has always worked the hardest. He just seems to have football smarts. While he may not be as fast or as strong the kid has more heart than a lot of other kids of todays high school football.

IMO SK will be the team to beat in NKY 6A this year. I'll say..

I'll say....
Ludlow 21
Bellevue 14
Good luck to both teams.

Its going to be a rough year for Cooper this year. They are a first year program, and playing a pretty tough schedule. For the parents and fans of Cooper, I just want to give some advice. Be Patient! Coach Borchers is a good coach, and had a nice staff around him. Just give him sometime, and he will turn this program into a very good program. Every year you should start to see a little progress, and in 4 to 5 years I think things will be going very well there at Cooper.
Welcome back FC.

Congrats to Coach Hornsby and the Panthers. Glad to see that my prediction was wrong.

Carroll County 21-20
-
Wow what a game.
-
HC 21-0. From what I've heard Ludlow's defense is pretty good this year behind first time defensive coodinator Jordan Logan so Ludlow looses, but not by more than 3.
-
Cooper has roughly 40-45 kids with the majority of them being sophomores. I know they have a couple of seniors but not many. They also have about 40 kids on their freshman team. A lot of support from the families from what I saw.
-
Check that, Williamson is a WR. My mistake.
-
Shelton is on the line and Williamson is a tight end.
-
I think Jim Hendry of the Cubs is one of the best. Constantly signs guys that produce or trades for guys that really help the team.
-
Is the "Mongoose" all Ludlow has as far as skilled players? Please don't take this as putting down any of the Ludlow kids, I have just heard that talent and numbers are running low over there. Just curious on more info about the panthers.
Talent not so much there but numbers are always in the 20's-30's. The entire school normally only has around 300 in it. In the past though there have been kids there that could play at any school in NKY IMO.
-
Neither. I don't like the amount of bandwagon fans each team has.
-
I think Cooper could come out and surprise Conner. The majority of the kids come from Conner and I wouldn't be surprised if this develops into a nice rivalry.

I think he meant it was the classes of the 06 and 07 teams. Last year Ludlow didn't play Grant if I remember correctly. This should be a close game, but i'll say Logan and the defense win this won.
