The DayCare at Lloyd is a community day care center. Lloyd had some extra space with the new addition and it was a way for the school system to make some $$ by renting out the space. Serves a community need and brings some $$ into the school system.

I don't disagree with the fact that kids leave the district (some by choice and many by necessity), but get your facts straight. Academically, Lloyd ranks ahead of all Kenton Co schools. Socio-economics have changed in Lloyd's district and families tend to be much more transient than they used to be, so turnover happens a lot. As with other schools, Lloyd has students who have transferred TO Lloyd because for one reason or another, they didn't like where they were. Specifically, I can think of Boone, Cooper, and Dixie kids at Lloyd. It happens and goes both ways...

Should be a fun game to watch. I doubt the coaches even really know what to expect from their teams because of the difference in schedules. Lloyd has big play potential with some pretty serious team speed. If their skill players get into space, NCC will have some challenges. Another factor that is not typical for Lloyd is that they have a strong kicking game. Last week, Lloyd made 3 field goals. The furthest being from 49yds (school record). Not having to get into the end zone to get points will be a big key for the Juggs. I think it will take some pressure off the decision making and allow them to relax a little bit. It's very hard to predict this game and if NCC gets up early, will Lloyd have the mental toughness to continue to fight? but my bias forces me to lean toward the Juggernauts in an upset. QB senior leadership, solid kicking game, and team speed will help the Juggs prevail in a tight game.

Ranking all teams in a top 10 is kind of a joke.... If you ranked based on who would beat whom, then all of the 6A schools would be in the top 6-7 because of sheer depth. Sure, the occasional small school might fit in there if a 6A team has a weak year, but looking at creating a ranking to see what teams might go further in the post season.... more challenging, but more credible.

To get this thread out of the weeds and into something more productive, I have a question: Would you prefer to have a program that makes the regional tournament each year and has continual coach turnover, year after year or Would you prefer to have a program that struggles each year but has stability and structure, year after year. If you are truly looking at the needs of the student athletes, then I would vote for stability of the coaching staff. Is that what St Henry is looking for? Seems as though the last 2-3 hires have not been thinking about the overall goals of student-athletics. Competing and winning is an important part of athletics, but is that all?

I've got to question the "no doubles" defense that Boone deployed in the 7th inning. No one on Dixie's team had hit the ball hard ALL EVENING. Dixie probably 30 batters in the game with a few ground ball base hits and a couple of legit singles. Nothing was close to going to the wall. With 2 outs, Boone was giving Dixie a tie game on a single and possibly the win on a long single (but they would prevent the double)...... You rode your horse (Ganns) and he performed very well. Why not count on him doing the same thing that he had done with the first 30 batters? Congrats to Dixie and Coach Maxwell. They were positive, patient, and aggressive. Paid off in the end.

I'm so glad that my son graduated high school and is on to college baseball. This type of drama makes me throw up in my mouth. Quit all the emotional crap and talk baseball. Seriously... you all are like a bunch of old women. Baseball is a great game. Enjoy it!!
