This is another nice move by the Toppers, who continue to attract top in-state talent with a feel for players with potential. Baughman has great size, strength and quickness, and can jump. He also has great field presence and vision. Could see him playing defense primarily, but might even be a great slot receiver or tight end.

Western has gotten some good Kentucky talent this year with Baughman jumping on board with Seth Tamme, KJ Black, Ronnie Letcher and Derrick Elder. As far as them going to Div 1-A it may be a year or two, after the construction is finished on the new building on the other side of their field which will include a new locker room, weight room, offices and additional seating and the new building at the end of the field and the facelift of the current stadium seating, then their facilities will be top notch and they may be ready to take the jump to 1-A, of course, they need to be ready talentwise as well and they seem to be moving in that direction.

That's why they redshirted last years whole freshman class, and will redshirt this whole class too.
