Mason boys thrash Nicholas

The senior class was responsible for Mason's first 26 points and 48 total -- in addition to Black and Osborne's efforts, Henry and Walton each scored eight, Josh Harris added six off the bench in his first varsity action of the season, and Hamm netted four.

"Can't say enough about our senior class," Royals coach Chris O'Hearn said. "They've been hardworking kids their entire careers and (were) all able to get in there and produce tonight and brought good energy to the floor."

Every Royal who played scored as Mason ends the regular season above .500, though that becomes moot come Monday when the Royals take on St. Patrick in the 39th District tournament at Bracken County.

"Everybody's zero and zero right now," O'Hearn said. "Those 27 are practice games. The real games start Monday."

In that district for all purposes Mason starts 2-0 and is already waiting on the regional draw.
