 Legendary Broadcaster Harry Carey would say "Well How About That Sports Fans." The Bishop Brossart Lady 'Stangs tonight knocked off defending Touchstone Energy All "A" State Champion Owensboro Catholic (6-3) in their own tournament in Owensboro 53-51 in overtime. Bishop Brossrat is now 8-2 on the season and will play Daviess County tomorrow evening. Owensboro Catholic beat Daviess County (8-4) earlier this season 63-61. The Lady Panthers knocked off Baylor School of Tennessee tonight 54-36 at the Holiday Classic in Owensboro.

The game was close throughout. Brossart trailed by two with less than a minute remaining when sophomore Sarah Futcher stepped to the line and sank both free throws to tie the game and send it into overtime. In the overtime period Madison Eisenman scored what proved to be the winning goal with a minute remaining to secure the 53-51 overtime win.

Futcher scored 15 points and hauled in 8 rebounds for Coach Feldmann's team including a big three point goal. Eisenman also had 13 to help power the Lady 'Stangs. Rounding out the BBHS scoring were Abby Stadtmiller with 7, Rachel Hartig, Cori Ziegler, Morgan Verst and Megan Dierig all with 4 each. Momma Greis and Kayla Young each had a point for Brossart.

The Lady 'Stangs held a big edge in turnovers forcing Owensboro Catholic into 26.
