I wasn't there but to be honest BW is not overly talented. Athletic? Yes. B-ball skill? Not so much. They do bust their hump.

 

Secondly, Conner plays good defense most of the time so not a total shocker.

 

With that, 28 points is shockingly low.

 

I just want to know what happened to all of the muscle that was added for BW?

Tigers better come ready to play. With their accelerated schedule due to the move to NKAC Division II they are going to have to go to the real hoops wars on a regular basis this season. NCC, Newport, Lloyd, Highlands, Holmes, Brossart, Holy Cross, and St. Henry are all coming conference attractions. This in addition to tough non-district foes Dixie, Cooper, Boone County, Pendleton, Mason County, Ashland, Shelby County, CovCath, Wolfe County and Pikeville. Bellevue, Villa Madonna, and Calvary are the only remaining D-III opponents.

 

Seeing how the Red and White Tigers did not defeat a team outside of Division III last year, taking a major hit to 0-4 Conner on opening day while scoring only 28 points does not bode well for their future exploits. Hopefully for them this game was an aberration and they will improve dramatically over the coming weeks and months.

 

Mike Miller is a veteran coach who will get the most out of his Beechies.
