Beshear has done a good job, imo, of staying clear and not souring up things too bad.

 

That's because of the Kentucky buddy system. The media is liberal and might as well (Herald Leader for example) just be publications of the democrat party. No one is pushing the issues of why this state is among the lowest in education, income, health and its manufacturing base is decaying. Those that "have" don't want change, those that "have-not" get by on the Kentucky welfare system, and those in the middle get out and go south!

To suggest that Kentucky is liberal is crazy. Democrat, yeah, liberal - no way. My ex-father in law was a mover and shaker in frankfort democratic politics and I was appalled at some of his beliefs.
