Looks like Kirsten Staley of Connor has made the team for the Cardinals. She is listed on their roster and is 1 of 5 KY kids. Does anyone know if she was a preferred walk on or did she have to go down and make the team. Either way congrats to her.

KC Straley - She was a preferred walk on. Great kid and great player with outstanding speed. She can rattle a team all by herself when she gets on base and defensively she gets to everything hit in the outfield. Congrats to KC.

Sorry they had her listed as Kirsten. Hopefully she finds her way onto the field, Louisville is usually really good and are around a top 25 program. I will for sure keep taps on her, great to see a NKY kid doing well.

I think Kristin is her real first name. Yes UL is usually a top 25 team but hopefully KC will get some playing time this year. She is definitely good enough.

You are correct, I just assumed she did after playing her first 3.

Loved to watch her in HS, lightning quick on the bases and in the field. With her speed and ability to run the bases if she is not in the field I can see her at the least doing a lot of pinch running. Bottomline: she made the team and that says a lot.
