FullMetalJacket Posted October 8, 2011 Author Posted October 8, 2011 Williamsburg was up 28-8 at the half and hangs on for the win...
TRENCHMASTER Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 Whitley loses by one, Williamsburg wins by one.
bigbluefan02 Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 This should do a lot for the young Jackets and building that confidence. Great win by the Burg.Congrats to the coaches and the players.
cnc78 Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 The Jackets jumped out early on the Eagles and went up 28-8 at the half. The only score given up was a blocked punt (have to get this fixed!!!). The Jacket offense was clicking on all cylinders in the first half as Sklyer Griffith was again the main target in the passing game, had close to 170 yards receiving on the night. The running game with Patrick and Sizemore was also working well. As sometime happens with young teams with big leads, the Jackets lost focus in the second half and got a bad case of the fumbles and let Campbellsville back in the game. As I said in my prediction the game came down to the last possesion and as Campbellsville was desperately trying to move the ball, Logan Hamlin came up with a huge interception. Even with the sloppy second half this was a huge win for the Burg. First victory ever at Campbellsville. Now on to hosting the Pirates of Berea and sewing this district up...go Jackets...Jacket Pride!!
