Clyde Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 This comes up every season as there always seems to be a few 3-way ties. Team A, Team B, and Team C end up tied . Each team takes up to 4 teams they've beaten and adds up those teams' victories. HOWEVER, they cannot use a team that is in the 3-way tie. So if A beat B they cannot use B as one of the 4 teams. You then see who has the most points. That team wins the 3-way tie-breaker. The team with the 2nd most points gets the next slot.
Watusi Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 We should note also that you can use district games and/or out of state games as one of your 4. Also, in the rare case that one of the 3 tied teams has beaten the other two, then that team wins the spot outright and the next two spots are decided by the head to head results of the other two. It doesn't happen much, but in that case you don't have to go to the point system.
ThrillVille Cardinal51 Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Are we trying to predict a Holmes over Highlands, CovCath over Holmes scenario? I've got dibs on that prediction.
