Cincinnati La Salle @ Cincinnati Moeller http://foxsportsohio.com

Thanks!

Always glad to let others know of good games being shown on the net.

I thought Moeller would be much better than what I have seen. Don't get me wrong, they're both very good football teams, but some have stated that Moeller is the best team...or one of the best teams in the GCL....which is regarded by some as being the super conference of the nation. Just thought they'd be a lot more imposing than they look. Although the Maderas kid from Moeller looks pretty good. So who's better, Quick or Maderas?

Gotta look at the conditions they're playing in. The kids came out to play, then had to sit awhile due to the weather. Then they had to get back up to play again. It's easy to play flat. However, LaSalle isn't too shabby. They took it to CovCath in only a half of play on CovCath's field.

My guess is by this time tomorrow, Moeller will have clinched at least a share of the GCL South title, so yes they are the best or one of the best teams in the GCL.

The GCL is a very good league, very competitive in all three major sports, and produces state contenders in each sport every year. GCL alums think very highly of their league, but I'm not even sure how many states have "leagues" anymore. Certainly a big deal in Ohio though.

Moeller is really good. We'll find out how good in coming weeks. They still have St. Ed's and Trinity to play. My guess is they'll lose both those games and finish second in the city to Colerain, who is likely to win out. But, we'll see.

The schedule they end with is just crazy. They've got St. X following by the defending big school state champs in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. Even if they go 2-2 during that stretch, they should still finish #1 in Cincy.
