Lawrence Co Honoring their 1st ever Final 4 team tonight

Great article by Mark Maynard yesterday in the Ashland paper + some of the best times of my life! Still 1 of the best Cinderella runs for a bunch of country kids at a school that had only won 1 playoff game in the hisotry of the school!

This is the 1st time Lawrence Co has ever honored a team + on the 20th anniversary.

Since this time LC has seen kids go on to coach in the NFL, 3 in the SEC, many in high school etc. Kids have gone on to win National Champoinships coaching, playing, state championships coaching etc. This group meant a lot to our little community.

Enjoy the celebration. I know what it can mean to the community. GRC just honored our 1991 State 4A champs at the football game last Friday. It included partical actual radio broadcast of the Boone Co, Trinity and St. X games...it was awsome. Something you all may want to do. They also had pictures displayed....they were all in black and white....LOL

I think that is great that LCHS is doing this, that was a great team. Stick, you are right in that a football team can mean so very much to an entire community and not just the players.

I have to say that bc of personal reasons (and I know that you understand my view) that I wish you a good reunion .......even with a loss to Raceland tonight. :thumb:
