If he started, hopefully the plan was go a couple of innings, get a big lead and get him out.

Teegarden pitched 5 innings giving up the one run in the first on 2 hits and 2 walks. Boone had a little bit of a slow start in pitching and hitting but got it going in the 4th with 7 runs.

I guess Boone is taking nothing for granted and Teegarden will be ready for Friday if they make it there. I can't blame them. You would hate to lose a game without one of your best on the mound.

I'll bet they would have loved to have been able to pull him after two innings so he could be used in relief on Wednesday if necessary. Of course, I'm sure the plan is to ride Laumann as long and hard as they can against NCC.

I've never seen a game end with a balk. 10 run rule in place here as Boone County opens it up with a 7 spot in the 4th inning I believe.
