There are a lot of solid basketball players statewide in the class and those kids have produced a lot of memories.

So, I figured one more time I’ll rank the kids across the state who I feel are the best college prospects. Remember, I said best college prospects so that doesn’t mean who had the best high school seasons.

Here’s to the Class of 2011! Thanks for all the memories.

1. Chane Behanan, Bowling Green, 6-8: The University of Louisville signee was a McDonald’s All-American, a top-20 prospect nationally and the best in the state.

2. Zach Price, Jeffersontown, 6-10: Louisville signee was really good early in the season and had team undefeated before his injury.

3. Remy Abell, Eastern, 6-4: Indiana University signee has a sensational senior season and has a bright future ahead of him. Will only get better.

4. George Fant, Warren Central, 6-7: Western Kentucky signee improved a lot during his career and will have a lot of good moments on the Hill.

5. Anthony Hickey, Christian County, 5-11: Mr. Basketball signed with LSU after big-time senior season was capped with a magical week at Sweet 16.

6. Ryan Taylor, Western, 6-6: A transfer from Indianapolis Lawrence North, Taylor was the best player in the Sixth Region as a senior. Unsigned.

7. Kameron Woods, Eastern, 6-8: Butler signee made more strides in a year than anyone in the state. Had a chance to be a star at the next level.

8. Vinny Zollo, Clark County, 6-9: Western Kentucky signee has been on the radar for a long, long time and improved his all-around game.

9. Tony Kimbro Jr., Jeffersontown, 6-5: Kimrbo has a solid senior season after coming home from a prep school. Fell under radar to Georgia State.

10. Treg Setty, Mason County, 6-9: Southern Illinois put on some much needed weight and turned in a solid senior year.

11. Robbie Stenzel, Clark County, 6-4 (Eastern Kentucky)

12. Timmy Knipp, Elliott County, 6-8 (Eastern Kentucky)

Solid list, especially at the top.

Splitting hairs:

I was surprised that DeVante Parker (UL football) came in at #18. I realize that he said best college potential, but he's also included Ryan Fucci of Tates Creek (a WKU baseball commit), and Josh Forrestt of Paducah Tilghman (a UK football commit).

Agree, this suprised me too.

Always good to see the 10th region well-represented.

I guess Northern Ky is just too far to go.

Who would you take out and who would you replace them with?
