Yes, they went into two overtimes last year. One crazy thing about last year is that neither team hit a basket in the second OT. All scoring was done by free throws. This year was much different in that regard, and others obviously as the game went very deep.

 

The ending this year gets crazier the more I think about it. Everyone on Central's side thought they were dead. Turned the ball over, Shanklin having to foul (his 5th) to prevent a Purple layup that might have ended it, and Geegan goes to the line for 2 free throws with just over 7 seconds remaining. He misses both, and in the blink of an eye Central is sitting in the catbird seat with two free throws of their own, and nails them.
