Tough loss for West Carter, end of the game kind of reminded me of the WC-EC Final from my senior year. I said to my friends at halftime that if we had not been looking at the scoreboard we would have thought West was up by 10-15 points. They played lights out in the first half, and played pretty well in the 2nd IMO. I thought the difference in the game was Elliott on the boards, and the fact that Timmy Knipp is next to impossible to stop from going to the basket. If he would only drive to the hole instead of shooting deep threes I think he could average 40 points a game. He's a good shooter but he's impossible to stop going to the hole.

 

Congrats to Elliott on the win. They fought through alot of adversity tonight and got a win on the "road" to win the district championship. WC needs to keep their heads up, they will have a chance to beat anyone at Morehead if they play like they did for most of the night. I would also be remiss if I did not give a shout-out to Aaron Rayburn and Harrison Bond tonight, I thought they both played great overall games. This was one of those games that really could have gone either way. It's kind of a shame that this one did not make overtime.

Just think how good Timmy Knipp would be if he played hard all of the time. The kid has talent, but has he been pushed to be great?
