Could be a very interesting game in Buckner on Wednesday night... Gallatin has been playing very well of late, and Brooke Hill is one of the tops in the region.

Oldham has been up and down all season, but has an explosive offense that feeds off their press, and four starters average in double figures. Freshman guard Ashley McMurtry leads the Lady Colonels at 16 ppg.

Who wins - and why? While neither of these teams are among the favorites to win the 8th region, both are contenders to advance out of their districts, and both are capable enough to make some noise...

The game will be aired live on the internet on the Pegasus Sports Network at http://www.pegasussportsky.com It will be available after the live broadcast immediately as an archive for at least a year...

Oldham won the previous matchup at the NAS Tournament in December 81-65. Gallatin was without the services of Senior Brooke Hill in that game. Will be intersting to see if Gallatin can keep up with the Colonels frenetic pace. I predict a close game.

This game will be a track meet. Gallatin will definitely have the inside advantage, while Oldham has the depth and overall team speed, so the team that best uses its advantage will pull out the win. My guess is that it will be up for grabs and in doubt early, but that the Lady Colonels might pull away at the end. It will be a great surprise if there are not a lot of points put up on the scoreboards tonight.
