9.11 First Responders Bill

Featured Replies

#1 is the main concern I heard and it's obviously a valid concern.

#2 was just Sen. Coburn blowing hot air. It went through committee in June but he missed the meeting.

Did you hear if the bill that passed removes some of the riders and tightens up the opportunities for fraud?

I guess it still has to get back through Congress but I wouldn't think that would be a problem.

I didn't see details other than some of the cost was reduced.

There are few people that are bigger tools in this country than Stewart....With that said, I can't see this passing as anything other than a good thing.
Stewart is a genuine Comic Genius . Almost as good as Boehner and McConnell

The last line of the article is what concerns many people about the bill:

"The legislation is named for James Zadroga, a police detective who died at age 34. His supporters say he died from respiratory disease contracted at ground zero, but New York City's medical examiner said Zadroga's lung condition was caused by prescription drug abuse"

The opportunity for fraud is huge and the worst part is that it takes from those who need and deserve the help.

It was also interesting that Shephard Smith of Fox News is another huge supporter of the bill. Don't hear as much about him as Stewart.

Stewart is about as entertaining as watching paint dry. Which as you said, is about as entertaining as either of those "esteemed" politicians.

Sonny you need to lighten up, get a sense of humor and realize how absurd politics is ..
