St. Henry 79 Conner 58

Conner has a very nice group of sophmores and i dont think you are being fair saying they do not have players that could start in other programs. Coach Stamm does have his work cut out but these girls work hard and will get better. As many as 4 sophmores are playing a lot and will gain key varsity experience. They also have been playing for many years together winning several chamnpionships. Their JV is 3/1 and their best player was in foul trouble most of the game they lost. I am sure they have players who could start for other teams in region 9 and they will start to win some games.

I have to agree with Ky Rebel. I have no doubt the girls you are speaking of work hard and will get better. But the only bonafide 9th Region impact player currently on the team is Fisher. I don't make this point to put down the other girls I have no doubt they are working very hard and will be impact players at some point. I make this point because even to suggest that Coach Stamm is to blame for Conner's current record would be unfair. Heck I'll bet he even stands up during practice!!

The statement made was no other player could start for ANY other 9th region team. That I do no think is fair and most difinatley inaccurate. Agreed not fair but probably accurate. They just need some time to develop and I'm sure they are hard workers and will do so. I wish them the best.

Accurate, based on what? Have you and rebel seen these girls play over a period of time and have you seen all of the region 9 teams play? A braod statement was made about kids who try their best and it is not fair to sell them short. Conner will win some games and they do have a core group of talented girls. I also wish them the very best!!!

As a matter of fact I'm very familiar with several of the girls that play at Conner. I'm also very familiar with Boone, Ryle, St Henry, NDA and NCC. They have alot more "Basketball" talent right now than Conner(that is fact). My point to people is that it would be completely unfair to blame coach Stamm if this is not the most successful season the Cougars have had. Coach Stamm took this team over very late in the summer. He needs a chance to build a program. Rome was not built overnight and neither will the Cougars program. I know, and like several of the players, parents, and coach. I'm sure coach Stamm and the players will continue to work hard. I wish all of them the best and hope they can make a run at the end of the season district and region.

Conner's JV squad has beaten St. Henry and Ryle. I obviously would agree that Ryle and NDA at the varisty level is superior. But I question your knowledge putting Boone in that catagory, w/o Moss Boone is no better than Conner and certainly does not have the TALENT or the depth Conner will have. Also again your staement was no one could start for other region 9 teams which is completely off base. Coach Stamm is a great coach and I predict conner will be very competitive in years to come.

Maybe your right, Conner is loaded with a ton of talent and will win 90% of this seasons game. That's what talent does, they win games. I wish they would start playing all that talent they have because I'm tired of watching them get drill by 20. I want them to win as much as anyone. I am a Cougar fan as well. Like I said it is going to take time to build this program back up. We will agree that the Cougars will be competitive in the years to come.

You call yourself a fan and then put down the kids. If your tired of wayching them get drilled then stay away. My response is to your comment about NO oyher girls could play or start in region 9 and again that is wrong. By the way I believe Boone is 1 and 2 and have been drilled themselves a couple od times so far. Boone is great program with a great coach. I wiah them the best.
