Good win for a nice Pike County Central club. Still looks like a third place finish based on the tiebreaker. The first round game at Russell seems very winnable, though.

I suppose an argument could be made PCC had more to play for in this one, but I don't think I'll buy that.

 

 

Two things stood out in this one:

 

1. PCC's QB was a hoss of a runner. No one on P-burg's defense could handle him 1-on-1 (consistantly poor tackling technique by Blackcat defenders, to boot).

 

2. Prestonsburg's defensive front wore down late in the 4th quarter. The Hawks killed the final 3 mins. of the game.

 

 

P-burg was the better passing team, but PCC was much better on the ground. Additionally, Prestonsburg turned the ball over more.
