Ryle 49 Conner 6

The Raiders put a nice game together and dominated from start to finish. The only black eye was a coverage mistake going for a pick instead of a detonation on a receiver that cost the Raiders the shut out. Great team effort tonight. Congrats to the Raiders on wrapping up the #1 seed in NKY 6A district. Time to get ready to beat Boone next week.

Nice work by the Raiders. Conner has put themselves into a "win and you're in" situation next week at home vs. Cooper. I expect Conner to wrap up the 4th and final playoff spot next week.

I'm not so sure Conner can handle Cooper.

Agreed. Still think Cooper waits a year for a district win.

Very impressed with the balance showed tonight by the Raiders. This was no match. Hempel had lots of time to pick receivers and the ground game was solid - not dominating. The timing in the passing game looked good with Hempel to Huntley a number of times. This is the first dominating win I can recall for Ryle where Elliott didn't have 1 or 2 long TD runs. Very very solid game by the Raiders. The boys in Union look to be clicking at just the right time.

It was nice to see so much balance and such sharp play as the Raiders destroyed Conner from the opening kickoff. The Raiders had several stops on third down where they committed a penalty and gave a first down to Conner. Can't do that in close games.

Raiders did a very nice job going out of the shotgun almost exclusively the entire game. I remember only one bad snap, which Hempel then picked up and turned into a nice run. Congrats to the center (Delaney, I believe), who almost never gets noticed unless something goes wrong. When Ryle has both their passing game going, as they did last night, and their running game, they present some difficult matchup issues for a defense. Ryle's defense, especially the secondary, played extremely well, save one pass play and a couple of penalties. Teepen had a very nice game and knocked down several passes. Conner's QB never really got into any rhythm at all and was pretty inaccurate at times.

Great Job By The Raiders Having All Three Aspects Of The Game Playing Together!!
