Ellen ran cross country as a freshman when my daughter was a senior. It's my understanding that she missed a lot of the practices due to swimming which resulted in her not running varsity even though she had the talent. She KILLED most JV runners. I have no doubt she could be a top XC runner if she focused on it.

I don't doubt that. The same is true with her brother Max who is swimming for CCH. He is a great swimmer and was very good at other sports. But he is so good at swimming and swimming is so demanding that I believe he only does swimmming now.

 

Ellen is going to have a great season this year and NDA is going to be something to watch. Their swim team is very talented. This may be the year they make some serious noise down state.

Ellen signed an NLI today with the University of Virginia.
