George Rogers Clark 49 Dunbar 21

Featured Replies

Score was 49-14 in the 4th quarter when GRC put in the subs. With 52 seconds to go in game Dunbar scores to make it 49-21.

QB, Andrew Dini again has a great game. Poky Harris puts on a show, if you have seen this kid play, you need to come and watch him.

Way to go CARDS!!!

GRC improves to 3-0 and faces Lafayette next week.

Good win for the boys in red!

Dunbar is red and black too....:D

It was all GRC from the start of the game. I was suprised to see that Dunbar didn't dress that many players...

Just heard on the news that Poky Harris had 95 yards rushing on only 2 carries. I don't know what he had for the game, hope to have some stats tomorrow.

Dunbar don't have a lot of numbers because Lawson came in and laid the law down. He weeded out the guys that want to hold up a jersey on Friday and not work to try to build a program. Dunbar must be improved from the previous 2 seasons, but still have a long way to go to be a competitive 6A football program.

I hope that the Dunbar faithful don't get impatient and start riding Bob. He's going to get that ship righted. It just takes time. No worries, Bulldog fans. He will bring the sense of toughness that is generally lacking when it comes to Lexington High School teams and he will do it the right way.

Andrew Dini’s first completion set the tone for George Roger Clark. The senior quarterback threw a 57-yard completion to Pokey Harris that set up the Cardinals’ first touchdown in a 49-21 rout over Dunbar Friday night at Cardinal Stadium.

Dini finished with 159 yards passing and 116 on the ground. Harris rushed for 135 yards and hauled in two passes for 86 yards in the winning effort. Harris gained 93 yards in the second half. Dini and Harris combined for 550 yards and five of the team’s seven touchdowns. Overall, Clark (3-0) finished with 542 yards of total offense, with 383 of those coming on the ground. Harris took over in the second half. On Clark’s first possession Harris scored on a 50-yard run, pushing the Cards’ lead to 29-7 with 10:44 remaining in the third quarter.

Great win for the Cards. Both Dini and Harris were impressive, as well as Reddix and Hisle on defense. Lot's of bright moments: However (and there is always one of those). PENALTIES PENALTIES PENALTIES. I am not sure what the total was (I lost count), but GRC had 7 in the first 14 mins of football. Got to do a better job.

Dunbar has some bright moments. I did not catch his name, but #30 for Dunbar had some impressive runs in the 4th qtr. IMO, he will be someone to watch.

It was a great night for football, great crowd, and great win by the Cards!

Is it " Weeding Out" guys that wanted to hold a jersey or is it "Chasing Off" Kids who earned the right to wear the jersey but wanted to play other sports?
