SHS Future
Somerset kind of came out of the gates a little slow, but the second half was all Jumpers. The offensive line that everyone has questioned did a great job against the much bigger Warrior line. The majority of the time the Jumper QB had plenty of time to throw. Congrats on a big win over the cross town rivals!!

AverageJoesGym
Southwestern came out of the gate well in this one taking a 7-0 lead just a few minutes into the game. After recovering a squib kick it looked like the Warriors could jump out to a 2 score lead but the Briar Jumper defense held--and then simply dominated the Warriors offense the rest of the way. A couple of fumbles in the red zone prevented this one from turning into a blowout. The Jumpers still have to work on that and cutting down on their penalties but overall a solid win. Somerset's defensive front was in Southwestern's backfield all night. Southwestern has some very nice players but they play far too many of them both ways for a 5A team--and it showed as they wore down quickly in the 2nd half. Congrats to Erik Manning on being named Offensive MVP of the Correll Bowl.

TRENCHMASTER
Congrats BJ's you are proving that the concerns about the line are not warranted! Good win, I thought the size of SW would take over. I was wrong Coach Lucas and his staff are doing a good job!
