It's up to the defense to protest - not up to the official to point out the baserunning error.

But I believe they went on to say the umpire in baseball could not inform the other team that he missed the bag. In this situation the walking offical with Johnson could have told him.
August 17, 201016 yr He could have and should have told him. What I don't understand is he groounded the club twice and his caddy put his bag down or had some other kind of penalty. He could have been DQ'd.
