Raceland went 5-0 yesterday, and 3-2 today, losing to Ashland in the semi-finals.

 

Ashland is now playing Letcher County Central in the finals.

Ashland won the 2nd day in the championship with Betsy Layne. The game went to three overtimes. The bobcats really played well.

I want to apologize for sending the wrong team via phone to Ram. Betsy Lane, I am sorry. I can't really explain why I said Letcher instead of Betsy Lane. My bad.

Day 1 ended with Ashland and Raceland undefeated but it was so late both Coach Maynard and Coach Hart felt it better to go home and come back for day 2. On day 2, Ashland won against Raceland in the semi-finals 3-2. Raceland had 2 dropped passes on their last drive including a beautiful long pass from Farley that would have been a touchdown and sent the game to OT. Overall, a great weekend of practice. Thanks to Lawrence County for a very nicely ran tournament and very friendly people.

How about West Carter Friday night? Wasn't able to attend but heard that they had a good showing. Losing to Ashland in two OT in the semi-finals.
