Some of the older folks will remember "Wild" Bill Warfield who started the Conner basketball program and had much success. He passed away recently after suffering a heart attack a few years ago.

RIP Coach!

Hadn't heard this and didn't even know he was in poor health. Hate to hear it He was a fixture at Conner. Anyone have any info about his age, career highlights etc.?

RIP Wild Bill. He had a heart attack a few weeks ago and never recovered. Coached from 1970-1992 I believe, good coach and an even better person.

Sorry to hear about Coach Warfield.

He was a great Bass Fisherman and good ole boy. Maybelle and I will say prayers
