What does Oldham County need to do to improve in 2010/2011? What do they need to keep doing to be sucessful? Remember, please be constructive.

Basketball season is a long way away...

Holland has a good nucleus back. I believe the point guard is Smith. He is very good when healthy. Payne is very good. They also have a quality big boy. They will be a top five pick in the 8th.

Oldham looked as if they were on the cusp on breaking out last year, but certainly recurring injuries played a role in their inconsistency. A very, very good JV team moves up to supplement the returning varsity players, and should make Oldham one of the better teams in the region again after three sub-par seasons. Kerry Smith at point is one of the elite players in Region 8, and capable of simply taking over a game. Improvement at the "2" guard position, and improvement on the glass will be critical.

 

Look for Holland's second team to be much improved.

After watching them this summer they could be the team to beat, and most of the coaches I have talked with have them at pre-season #1. They looked incredibly stronger and faster, and got some production from a lot of different people. Absolutely right in Holland's teams get lots better, this one seemed to do it quickly. They were getting better at the end of the year, looking forward to watching this district this year.
