Pendleton County's Murph Howard resigns

Featured Replies

After seven years as head coach of the Pendleton County baseball program, Murph Howard steps down as head coach.

Is there a teaching position open for the job?

Some good candidates already on staff.

I can only think of one that should be considered a good candidate.

Josh Hamm should be a front runner. He's already an assistant for PC. He played and helped coach at Harrison County, and if I'm correct he played college ball at Cumberland.

Wow footbal coach and baseball coach in the same week. Is theres something more behind the scenes at PC going on?

Not aware of anything. A 4-27 season kinda gives you a sour taste in baseball I would think.

Is Mr. Howard still going to teach at PC or is he leaving altogether?

Mr. Howard will still teach at Pendleton County. He's only resigning as coach. Either Harrison County graduate Josh Hamm or Pendleton County graduate Brent Yelton would have to be considered the frontrunners for this opening. Both are already on the staff as assistants.
