What does Silver Grove need to do to improve in 2010/2011? What do they need to keep doing to be sucessful? Remember, please be constructive.

1. Hiring a coach right now is the thing that needs to be done.

2. Maybe have an open gym or two in the summer??????????????

Hiring a Superintendent, who can hire a principal, who can hire a coach is probably their order. Sad to say, but not sure how many kids they will have on their roster next year.

Rumor around Silver City is that Scott Wiggins, former NY Yankee and NewCath alum, will be the new basketball coach. Not 100 %, but pretty close. I believe he has ben affliated with the school in some capacity recently.

I think it will be interesting to see how many are on their roster for next season, considering how many they had last season.

Who is the guy who ran the baseball tourney who was Coach at Brossart maybe he might get it? Bob Seither?

They have already declared they will not have a JV team next year, only varsity. Hopefully they have enough numbers for varsity.

I am not sure they have "declared' no jv or that a person who has the authority to do so has done that. In fact that would be a huge mistake because the numbers for athletics in the school rest in grades 7-9 with many 9th graders with some skill level that need some JV time.

Things could always change, but they sent an email out to some of the teams they are scheduled to play, asking for a boy/girl varsity double header, because they will not have JV teams next year. And I have not heard anything about a new coach yet.
