Holy Cross plays Ryle Thursday in the semifinals

Was at the game and was not impressed with Ryle's play tonight, but like all good teams they dig down deep and find a way to win. They needed 4 runs in the 5th with 2 outs to lock up this one. Until the 5th inning 2 out rally they had only 2 hits. Congrats to Highlands they played hard, take away miss played fly ball and bad throw by the catcher and this could have been interesting.

 

Also nice to see former Ryle standout pitcher and current Oklahoma Sooner Kirsten Allen at the game.

Have not had a chance to see Ryle play much this year but they did struggle tonight. They will have to play alot better than they did tonight to win the region. I thought Highlands played well a couple more plays and they could have won the game.

 

For what ever reason all 4 teams that played tonight had trouble fielding ground balls in the infield. The gound was hard and made most ground balls difficult to field. That being said I did see a couple outstanding plays in the infield too.

Crail should be well rested on that there pitch count thingee lol

Conner over St. Henry 4-3 in 10 innings. Ryle over Holy Cross 10-7. Ryle scores 3 in the 7th

Connor over St Henry 4-3 in 11. SH lead until late and had a couple of errors to let Connor send it to extra innings. They had another costly error in the last inning that helped Connor take the lead.

 

Ryle over Holy Cross 10-7. Tied 7-7 going into the 7h, Ryle scored 3 runs with 2 outs. Ryle kept getting ahead and Holy Cross kept coming back but did not have enough at the end.

 

Two outstanding high school softball games all 4 teams played hard and the atmosphere at NKU was great.

 

Congrats to all 4 teams you girls should be proud of the you way played.

 

It's not the 10 region but there were some great games to watch tonight.

Bout what I expected. Holy Cross score though flamboozled Maybelle. Like you said not the 10th. The 9th Tourney though is like the Iranian Hostage Crisis it seems to be in day 374

Ready for day 375 of the 9th Region Tourney. Maybelle, the kids and I are header up for the big thingee tonight.
