Baseball - Upsets the Story

Does baseball have more upsets and potential for upsets than any of the major high school sports? Last year Beechwood pulled the huge upset to win the region. This year's district games are littered with upsets. The #4 and 5 teams (Ryle and New Cath) in the final coach's poll aren't even going to make region. The #2 team (Cov Cath) was beaten in their district title game. Is baseball subject to more upsets than other sports? Why?

Yes. In baseball you do not need a 3,5, or even a 7 game series. With baseball you can be beat by someone over and over. But when it comes down to it all you need is 1 game where everything comes together like last year with Beechwood. Regular season play does not mean anything but the last game you are playing does.

I'm just glad we didn't all fill out 'brackets' like the basketball Final Four! We'd all be hurting!
