Ryle's James Hoskins Signs with Pikeville

Featured Replies

Hoskins will be playing baseball at NAIA Pikeville College. Signing ceremony is today at Ryle. James is having an outstanding season - currently hitting .382 with 47 hits, 7 HR, 41 RBI (leads NKY), and 26 runs. He has also done a credible job behind the plate, catching almost every inning of Ryle's 35 games played to date. Nice kid - the type of kid you like to root for.

Other local players now playing at Pikeville include: Andrew Hitchcock (St. Henry), Jeff Grieme (St. Henry), and A.J. Elliott (Simon Kenton).

Congrats to James, as he goes from the orange and black of Ryle to the orange and black of Pikeville!

Ben Wigger from Conner also plays for Pikeville. Congrats to James on continuing his baseball career.

Congrats! Great kid. I remember when he used to play for the Newport Eagles and Cincy All Stars back in the day.

I was curious where he would end up. Good for him :thumb:

From being a non-starter last year, to one of the top catchers in the 9th region and now a college scholarship. Great job.
