Well, it sure did give Dixie a boost and a lead which IMO is instrumental in beating Covcath.......it minimizes CovCath's favorite weapon when they have to come from behind.

It was huge since CCH had scored in the top of the 1st to get some mojo going.

The Dixie Heights baseball team dedicated Friday's home game against Covington Catholic to the memory of former Dixie player Brennan Thomas, who died in a drowning accident last year.

Coach Chris Maxwell's Colonels made sure it was a memorable night for the Thomas Family by beating Covington Catholic 8-3 behind the left arm of unbeaten senior pitcher Brice Smallwood and the bat of Tyler Sexton.

Rest of the article.

Nice to hear Popham's name mentioned. The kid never gets any ink but has been solid as a rock (and batting near .400.)
