I got a questions.

 

How many of you remember the school nuclear attack drills and the bomb shelters that people use to have in their backyards and basements?

 

I do. The school basement (elementary) was a bomb shelter and had the black and yellow signs. There was a storage supply of water and those freeze dried meals. We had bomb drills just like we have fire drills and hazardous weather drills today. Boy, I am OLD. :eek:

Transparency government remember. They can claim this as one of the examples of them being transparent and hope that we forget all of the moments (Health Care Reform) that they were not.

 

I thought the transparency deal was so we could know more about what's going on inside our government, not the whole world. I disagree that our country needs to be any more transparent to the rest of the world. Some secrets are just better kept.

You don't have to blow up the planet to destroy it. I'm confident we have enough warheads on Earth to wipe out all living things, combining the blasts with their aftermath.
