Campbell County 3 Ryle 2 (8 innings)

Are you talking about Rebeholz? I really do not think he would have hit 4 - 6 home runs. Are you saying he would have hit 4 - 6 HRs?

I was just commenting in jest. He is a big stick out of the lineup though. So you never know. :idunno:

The stepping on the plate rule is one of those that if you assume its the same as MLB(like I did) you would be incorrect. In MLB the entire foot has to be out of the box before the batter is out. In high school, if any part of the foot touches home plate the batter is out regardless if the rest of his foot is in the box.

It is also an interesting point that ANY ball hit by the batter - be it fair OR foul - causes him to be out. Many people only think it applies to only a fair ball. Though, of course, I am not lumping you into this group, Clyde. :D

Why thank you, my friend. I did know that.

Was he definitely thrown out? Its my understanding that the umpire if required to report it within 24 hours yet it doesn't show up yet on the state website.[/Q

The coach did set out the very next game which of course was played 30 minutes after he was tossed. Maybe he let him slide on reporting it. :idunno:

When you're ejected you're ejected for the rest of THAT day plus the next game as far as I know.

Clyde, oh he was tossed all right! He didn't ask but in so many words ordered the man in blue to show him where he stepped on the plate. It was the tone, and his actions, that got him thrown out. If he had ask or inquired about the play no big deal but the way he pretty much ordered the man in Blue was what got him tossed. After getting tossed, he walked out through the gate by the Visitors Bench and got as far as the end of the stands along first base prior to Mary's Grill, then he turned around, went back through the gate and onto the field and yelled out something to the men in Blue.

That return to the field and I was told by one of the men in blue that they heard and saw him come back onto the field, just might make him miss more games. I was told it will be in their report. Now after the game and his saying he was sorry, they just might not report him reentering the field but......:idunno:

What is the fine for getting tossed? Anyone know?

The pitcher Ryle was Tyler Hill and if he had a cather that could defensively frame the ball we would bre in better shape

I can't believe that the coach just didn't accept the call and move on. Was he trying to sat that he saw the kid's foot "not" on the plate from 90 feet away?
