Our Mustangs dropped their first decision of the season, a 5-4 loss to Conner, played in Hebron, due to wet grounds at St. Mary.

Each team had 9 hits, but the Mustangs were victimized for 3 defensive errors which proved costly.

Trailing 1-0, the Mustangs rallied for 3 runs in the third inning on a 3 run - Trevor Bezold home run. We tacked on another run in the fourth, increasing our lead to 4-1.

Conner countered with a run in the home fourth inning, two in the fifth, and the winning run in the bottom of the sixth on a wild pitch.

Dylan Embs takes the loss for the Mustangs who fall to 3-1, 1-0 on the season, and will face Ryle on Wednesday in Union.

Anthony Steffen had a pair of doubles to lead the Mustangs' offense, while Embs and Travis Norton contributed a pair of hits apiece.

The JVs defeated Conner 11-7 with Chris Meehan earning the win. Our freshmen lost to Campbell County

7-2 in Claryville.
