Field Tarps

St. Henry was getting rid of their old one. Is that the one that Ryle bought? I know Cov Cath was considering purchasing their old one but I don't know what happened with that talk.

Ryle bought a used one from Scott County. A very nice tarp and huge ((160' x 160'), but it had a pretty big rip in it. We spent a couple hundred dollars on special tarp repair tape and it fixed up perfectly.

More like duct tape on major steroids. When you're putting it down, you better like the spot it's in because there ain't no re-positioning it. It costs $135 (including shipping) for 100 ft. of it. They recommend you tape both sides of the tarp, which we did, and believe me, the strongest part of this tarp is now the taped area.

Your starting catcher is over our house right now and tells me you have a pretty substantial tear/rip in your tarp. If you need the tape, go to inlandtarps.com. We'd let you borrow some of ours, but seeing how you're a district rival and all, the best we can give you is some Scotch tape. :D

Knowing him he might have had something to do with it being torn.

Plus he probably like the home plate area a little muddy because that might make it easier for him to block the ball better.

Dixie Heights does not have one, but however have some of the best and most efficient mound and home plate covers around hands down!

Just curious who all has a field tarp that covers their entire field? Ryle just got one for this season (used and needed some repairs, but is in great shape now) and it's already being put to good use.

For those of you that have had them for a few years, what is your best guess for how many extra games you got in (for all levels - varsity/JV/freshman) from using it? Lord knows this rain today would have washed out Ryle's field for days and days. With the tarp on I suspect it might be playable on Satruday. A tad wet in the outfield, of course, but playable . . . .

Conner has one, given to them by St. Henry. It has already saved a hand full of games in the last two seasons! Hey Coop whats the name of the company that sells that tape?

Make sure you order the heavy duty tarp repair tape (they sell a medium gauge also). It's 6" wide x 100' and cost somewhere around $130 including shipping. You tape both sides of the tear on the tarp. It is seriously strong stuff. You better like the spot you put it down because there isn't any way you can pull it back off and re-position it!
