I don't believe Ms Basketball has been announced. She is definately one of the best in the state and has a real shot at the honor. The Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches does their own thing. They also sponsor an East West all star game during the sweet sixteen at a nearby High School.

 

They do not choose Ms Basketball.

Coach Dawn and Coach Fookes were co-coaches of the year for the 9th region. Coach Dawn is picking up his in the pic. Coach Fookes was busy preparing her team for the game vs Scott Co., thus informed the KABC that she would not be there to pick up her award. Both were deserving after the seasons they had.

She was voted Gatorade POY for Ky. From what I understand, Miss Basketball ballots have to be in by Wednesday.

 

If you were to base it on individual players' performance in the East-West All-Star game, Ebony Rowe would be Miss Basketball. She had an outstanding game in a narrow loss by the East squad. I think the final was 79-75, with Samantha Drake hitting the eventual game-winning bucket, and Destiny Bramblett hitting a pair of FTs with 12 seconds left to ice it.
