Spring Crappie

Featured Replies

No crappie, but this juicy saugeye at AJ this past Monday when taking my boat on a shakedown run. State has been stocking them for the past couple of years.

Water is muddy, but I think you could fish for them on purpose with small black crank baits or twister tails.

Whose on them here lately? Any where near NKY?

Younger brother and I have caught over 400 bluegill total in about 8 combined hours at a buddies private lake the past 2 Saturdays. We've cleaned about 100 of them. Cleaning bluegill is a ton of work, but they are tasty!

We haven't done much in the way of crappie, but not a shocker for this place. We have caught a few nice bass though. We need to start keeping more bluegill though. They are starting to be overrun just a bit... BGP fish fry??
