North Hardin 59 Campbellsville 56

Final, Phelps MVP of the game.

Incorrect score. The final from Nelson Co. HS was actually NH 69, C'ville 66.

C'ville had a lead as large as 41-29, but struggles at the free throw line in the second half cost them mightily, as NH was willing to make the Eagles earn every point. Ultimately, I feel NH's depth was the deciding factor, as tired legs make for short free throws, and also led to a 45-38 advantage for the Trojans on the glass.

FTs: C'ville 21-37 NH 11-25

Campbellsville's Thomas Downs was the game's leading scorer with 28; 22 of those coming in the first half. Matthew Davis added 20 and nine assists.

For North, Nigel Phelps had 18 points and 11 boards to go with four assists. James Berry had 17/7 before fouling out.

Jim how big is North Hardin you know?

They've got several guys in the 6'4-6'6 neighborhood, and they have good size at G. They really attack the glass.

Should be a great match up with Mason Co then. I know the Mason Co coaches where at the game tonight.

Only four losses total for NH on the season and winners of 12 of the last 13. Two of the losses early in the season in holiday tourneys, I believe. Only losses in 2010 were to Franklin County and Iroquois, according to the scoreboard.

Could a mod please change this thread title to reflect the correct score in post No. 2? Thanks.
