March 5, 201016 yr Author They're in desperate need of a pass rusher seeing as how Gholston turned out a bust. That was one of their main weak points this past season. Gholston plays OLB, and yes, he was flat out awful. He was nothing more than a "workout warrior" and I'm not sure why the Jets took him. Most everyone thought he would be a bust, and so far he has been. Things could change, but I saw some stats on him that showed the # of times he rushed the passer vs. the number of hurries/sacks/hits he had, and it was terrible. If they go after Peppers (I doubt they do because I haven't heard their name mentioned at all) he will play OLB for them. He has never done that in the NFL though, so I'm not sure how good he would be.

March 5, 201016 yr Author I don't remember that at all. I wasn't talking about specific sports writers. Perhaps "most everyone" was a bit of an exaggeration but a lot of people I discuss the draft with expected him to be a bust. Many considered him "workout warrior" and it appears that was true.
March 5, 201016 yr Author Profootballtalk.com is reporting that the Bears have dropped out of the race for Antrel Rolle.
March 5, 201016 yr Author I read the the Falcons signed QB Chris Redman to a 2 year $5 million deal. Supposedly the first transaction of the free agency period. LINK
