How do I know when a jump stop is illegal? When a player clearly does more than what a "jump stop" is supposed to allow.

 

You initially implied that the jump stop was illegal at one point and then it started being called legal.

Was totally stunned tonight, when a strip called a foul on #21 of CovCath for holding. What was strange about the call was, #21 of CovCath was sitting on the bench.!

 

When the official scorer informed the stripe of #21 not being in the game, he insisted that the foul was indeed on #21 but then when he looked at the players numbers on the floor at the time, even he noticed that #21 was not on the floor.

 

When pressed by the official scorer as to whom was the foul really was on, the stripe looked a little confused and said (Notice the quote I am using), "#20 then" with a question mark in his voice!:confused:
