When Bracken Co got the lead I thought they would pull it out!

Yeah, that was a close on for the Mustangs.

Bracken Co. is good. Definitely their best team since the 1998 team that won the All A 10th Region. They got a little sloppy late in the game and it cost them big time.

Brossart escapes with a victory.

Another amazing note is that Brossart won and Jake Reiger scores 5 points.

Final.

Sophomore Zach Fardo with a career high 26 points.

correction... Fardo had 27.... I am sure Mustang will be posting the box score shortly

Brossart shot from the gate literally as sophomore Zach Fardo nailed a trio of 3's, giving the Mustangs a 9-2 early game lead. Bracken County battles back to make it a 13-9 game after a period of play.

Brossart comes out ice cold in the second quarter and doesn't score for the first five minutes of the second quarter as Bracken County takes the lead 14-13 at the 3:38 mark of the second period. Brossart finishes out the quarter on a 7-2 run to take a 20-16 lead to the locker room at halftime.

Brossart starts the second half on a 6-0 run, giving the Stangs a short-lived 10 point lead which converted to a 33-26 lead after three quarters.

Bracken County put momentum in a blue uniform to start the final stanza, outscoring the green-clads 7-0 to take a 35-33 lead as the Polar Bear faithful went crazy. Zach Fardo ended the drought with his fifth 3-point goal giving the Mustangs the lead for keeps, going on to win the game 49-42 and advance to Saturday night's championship game vs Nicholas County at Paris High School at 7:30pm. Bracken County is a very, very good Class A basketball team. Too bad there can only be one winner. Good luck to the Polar Bears in the future.
