Sandlin had a big game for W-V. Coach Mefford had a good game plan that kept his Panthers within striking distance for most of the game. Carroll County got some good looks in the second half, but did not convert on some of them. Coach Miller had a good game plan to limit Devine's touches and the Bearcats defended her well. Both teams played hard. Congrats to W-V, and good luck on Friday against Owen County in the semifinal.

Walton is at it's best when both Sandlin and Dixon are playing well, and playing off of each other. All the girls did a great job on the defensive end.

So true! It takes each and every member of the whole team to make a team no matter what role they play as that team member. Like it is written-"United We Stand, Divided We Fall! Go WV and kudos to all the WV Fans, cheerleaders and the WV Boys basketball team for their spirit at the game. It sure helps a playing team go up against a team with their band present for them.

A great game to watch. Each team never gave up and played with a lot of heart. Was kind of weary of WV and I told my wife they played well and never complained nor the coach! Guess times have changed!

In watching him coach over the last several years, both with the boys and girls, IMO he is a very good coach. His kids play hard, smart and execute.

Good game last night. Tied at half time. Carroll just seemed to run out of steam. Fouls were very uneven...but Carroll could not get their shots to fall in the second half and they had some foul trouble.

 

Good won WV and good luck the rest of the way!
