Improved Zollo has plenty of options

 

 

Former University of Kentucky commitment Vinny Zollo of Clark County High School in Winchester, Ky., has been one of the state's most impressive player so far this season.

 

The 6-foot-8, 225-pound Zollo is the most improved player that I have seen and at times has been dominant for the Cardinals. His stock is rising every time he steps on the floor.

 

"I just feel a lot more comfortable," said Zollo, who transferred to Clark County from Ohio prior to last season. "Kentucky basketball is so different, it took a little time to get adjusted. I'm just trying to go out every night, no matter if it's score 20 points, get 20 rebounds or play lock-down defense, and do what I can to help our team win."

Yes he is, on and off the court and in the classroom.:thumb: Where ever he goes they will be getting a good ball player and a super great young man.

Nice article on a good kid. He has greatly impoved this year. He has put the leg injury behind him and it shows.

I watched him play at the King of the Blue Grass and was very impressed. Great basketball IQ. Another year of building up his body will bode well for him. Reminds me of John Pelfry when he played for UK. Hope he ends up playing for the Cats! Good luck the rest of the season!

As much as I like Zollo, I don't know if I want him playing for the Cats. I'd rather see him go somewhere he'd get to play early and often. Heck, he could probably go play right away for Pelphrey at Arkansas!
