Sorry to be off topic but why such a spread of times. I think TMC plays at 1?

Great night for the CRU. CCH's Thelen a very good player. Need an Anderson or a Carroll type player to make them whole. Wilson/Klein will step up IMO. Too many comparable players available to sub in and out---hard to get into the flow of the game.

I will say this. St. Henry's guards(Hils, Gulla, Barnett, Anderson) will wear some backcourts out this year.

Stated earlier that Carroll could be SH's X-factor. Great job so far.

I went to the KHSAA scoreboard to look back. Some interesting tidbits.

1)Since 2001/2002 season St. Henry leads the series 5-4

2)Anyone know why St. Henry hosted home games back to back in 01/02 and 02/03???

3)The exact same score and outcomes from this year and last year......

4)2004 was the biggest upset when the #1 team in the region, led by Votel came to St. Henry and hadn't lost a game in the region in almost 2yrs.

5)Does anyone know if St. Henry had ever won at CovCath?

paNDA I truly don't know! Just a guess, but maybe more money this way by charging for each game?

This will be a hard sell as with the UC/Pitt game at Noon, the UK/UNC game at 12:30 the Fla/Ala game at 4pm and the Tex/Neb game at 8pm it will be tough to get people out of the bars/home to come watch HS basketball games tonight.

1. Yes they do, and that is part of the reason why I wasn't shocked to see St. Henry win. When CCH beats St. Henry, they win big. I didn't expect the Colonels to win big.

2. No idea. Good observation. '02 - '03 was the best St. Henry team in a while, but I have no clue why (or how) that happened.

4. That was an upset, but CCH's streak of wins in the 9th wasn't as long as you may have suspected. In '02 - '03 they lost to Conner on senior night (at home), then beat Holy Cross & lost to Holmes (Englemon, Fischer, Brandon Smith) in the district. Then they lost to Highlands (Neltner & Gilles) in the 1st round of region. Their win streak was a full season ('03 - '04) and a few games of the '04/'05 season.

5. I'd imagine they had won at CCH, but it had been a while. I'd guess mid-to-late 90's (94 - 97), if they ever won in Park Hills. I'll ask around and see what I can find out in that regard. I'd be interested to know as well.

I confirmed with Coach Faust yesterday it was his first win ever at CovCath in his 16yrs. He wasn't sure about before his time.

With that said I wish both these teams the best of luck the rest of the year. Its the only game of the season I really root against CovCath.

Nice. The 3 prior games in Park Hills, Cov Cath had won by 23, 17, and 31 points respectively.
