Congrats to Owen!

Grant had a very sluggish 1st quarter and went 10 for 22 from the free throw line. They tried to claw their way back in it but were not able to get over the hump. Congrats to Owen and best of luck to the Lady Braves.

Grant doesn't really have a true point guard. Plunkett is better suited to be the #2. Cope and McClure aren't quite there just yet, IMO. On a bright note, the Hearn girl (just a freshman) seems to show promise.

 

For Owen, Gayheart seems to make everyone around her better. When she was on the court, everything seemed to flow. And while she may be noted for her scoring ability...she had two very nice assists late tonight that helped seal the win. Needs to make sure she's on the court at the end of the game, though. Picked up 4 tonight, and thought she came close a couple of times to getting number 5.
